Soundwave Festival 2010 posted by AustraliaNewZealand at 16:01PM

Soundwave Festival was huge!

Macbeth was in full effect with give aways and free show bags for 6000 lucky people. So if you picked up one make sure you slap the sticker on somewhere special and read up on all the news on the info cards.

So we flew up a day before the tour in Brisbane and headed into Kill The Music to catch up and help out with their instore they had going on. After that we jetted over to a bar to have a few drinks and assemble the crew, Blunt Magazine / Shock Records / Epitaph Records / Evening Forever and some of our international friends. A few rounds later we slinked out of the bar to bed ready for the first day of the festival.

6:30 am alarms and its off the the city to pick up Paul from Kill The Music as they had a booth with Evening Forever so we tagged along and helped setup.  Gates open and all hell breaks loose. We handed out a load of stickers and to the lucky ones some tee shirts for supporting Macbeth at the festival. All the Macbeth artists and bands killed it during their sets. The highlight was seeing You Me At Six, they totally blew me away and god damn they can party! After the festival was done we had a Macbeth party at Thriller Night Club. Do we need to go out and rage after a full day in the sun........ yes I think we do! There are a bunch of photos from the night of the lucky drunken boozers who picked up a heap of Macbeth gear on the night, check them out HERE.

Whats that? Another early morning to fly to Sydney..... thanks for the wake up alarm clock @ 5:00am! Flight straight into Sydney and jetting in style over to the venue in the Macbeth van. The venue is on a race track so we had the Macbeth van on the track back stage cutting laps from one stage to the other. This is how Macbeth rolls in Australia. It was a brutal day in the sun but we slapped on the sun screen and drank way too much water... First up we had our newest artist of the Macbeth family Heroes For HIre opening the festival. They killed it with a girl passing out during their set! Taking Back Sunday, Adam had loads of room to swing that mic lead around and around his neck which was amazing to see side of stage. Did anyone see Matt Fazzies shoe.....? ;)

So there was a week off until the next Soundwave, so there was a bunch of "Sidewaves" on and a load of time to rest up and get to know the crew and artists. We partied, hung out, ate, took photos and shot a load of videos. So we thought we couldnt do anything else...... until Blunt Magazine decided to open the door to the Macbeth van onto the street as a car drove past snapping the beloved door off the Macbeth van!!! :( Stay tuned for pictures of this tragedy.

Off to Melbourne we go. The weather in Melbourne was great, sunny and not to hot. We got in early and locked our selves into the smaller stage where it was Gallows, Architects and You Me At Six in a row. All bands had huge sets and totally blew the roof off the hall. For some of the pics check the photo blogs on the site HERE.
We handed out another few thousand Macbeth gift bags to the crowds and got ready to see AFI melt the crowd. We have watched AFI the past few days but this set was beyond. Davey came screaming out on stage and blew the crowd away. AFI stepped it up to another level which left the crowd in total shock and and ore. And we where treated to the signature "crowd walk" by Davey.

We have a bunch of footage that we will be posting in the next day or so of the festival so stay tuned!
